Future Projects
Objective #1.1:
Provide primary health care and access to subspecialty care within the system.
Objective #1.2:
Serve as medical home to registered patients and maintaining a registry of chronic health problems such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma and obesity.
Objective #1.3:
Track registered patients and provide health education and screening on a regular basis through health seminars and health fairs.
Objective #1.4:
Provide low cost basic dental screening and care.
Goal Two:
Increasing community participation and ownership in providing health care.
Objective #2.1:
Community ownership of the project. In additional to permanent employees, we will encourage community members to volunteer their time and to contribute certain percentage of operational expenses.
Objective #2.2:
Community Service. The local community will be encouraged to assist the clinic in organizing health fairs. The clinic will coordinate with other charitable organizations in the United States and abroad with the goal of exchanging ideas in order to solve community health issues.
Objective #2.3:
Medical education/training in public health and community medicine. Medical students and other allied health science students from local universities will be encouraged to participate in providing services and in turn learn from this active community involvement.
Objective #2.4:
Obtain patient demographic and health data to collaborate with local health department, local medical schools, and the school of public health to publish scientific papers.
